Max Super Speciality Hospital is the flagship hospital of the Max Healthcare’s network, one of the largest hospital chains in India. Max Super Speciality Hospital is one of the first two hospitals of North India to have received the prestigious accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Hospital & Healthcare Providers. This multi-speciality hospital boasts of high quality facilities across areas like aesthetic & reconstructive surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, eye care, paediatrics, orthopaedics, neurosciences and plastic surgery. Max Healthcare is primarily focused on the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi. This professionally managed network has over 1250 leading doctors, 280 corporate clients and a patient base in excess of 6,00,000. Max Healthcare across various hospitals performed over 900 open heart surgeries, 2100 angioplasties and 4150 angiographies in the year 2007-2008. Facilities The hospital is centrally air-conditioned and has 191 beds, six modular operation theatres which use advanced technology such as C-arms and blood gas analyzers, one Brain Suite and a 71-bed ICU. List of facilities include 500mA X-ray machine and fluoroscopy unit, 64 slice CT angiography and a 1.5 tesla MRI unit to name a few. The hospital has a dedicated endoscopy suite to perform procedures such as, EGD, ERCP, liver biopsy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and small bowel eneteroscopy. The department of laboratory medicine is open 24 hours a day and is supported by an ISO 9001:2000 and NABL certified lab with fully automated instruments which are interfaced with the hospital information system and laboratory information system and the departments for biochemistry, haematology, serology, immunoassay, microbiology, electrophoresis, histopathology, cytology and clinical pathology.

The hospital is excellent. The surgeons, facilities and infrastructures are excellent. My father is almost back to normal. Two things spoilt the experience - my father had to be shifted to Max Devki Devi institute twice, which is in the adjacent building, to get some cardiac chekcs done. Then he had to be shifted back again to the neurosciences deoartment. The hospital called me from work 4 times to get this done. I dont see no reason why they needed me to do that when i had already given them full authorization to do that. Also, duing the last 5 days of my father's stay in the hospital, the nurses said that they could not tend to him all the time and they suggested that i get an attendant for him; which i did, for 300 Rs a day. Apart from these two instances, I found the hospital excellent. - Mr. Singh's Son

The nursing staff is efficient, and so are the doctors. It’s a 5 star hospital and I was given 5 star treatment. The surgery was very succesful and it is very cost effective as compared to Canada.

Treatment is good. In the last 6-7 years I feel the hospital's priority has changed. It has become more money minded. I feel I was charged Rs. 17 thousand extra despite opting for the child birth package for Rs 40 thousand all inclusive. Also the doctor should keep the patient informed and at ease. - Deepti's Husband
